Welcome to the PUSD Truth Squad blog!

Several anonymous bloggers have taken to attacking the three PUSD board members (Douglas, Knecht and Murphy) who are independent from the administration, particularly Superintendent Erb. These board members think for themselves and listen to the entire community, not just administration sycophants.

Two of these bloggers in particular, Michael Erickson (NoHoneymoon) and Frank Rohrig (EyeOnPUSD) have been particularly nasty and biased. Erickson even attacked the two newly-elected members (Knecht and Murphy) before they were sworn in! They clearly have a goal undermining the effectiveness of these independent board members, thereby mitigating the loss of monopoly power by their cronies.

So far, their efforts have either been in vain or backfired altogether. They've been reduced to encouraging a recall for the sin of closing the high school campuses at lunch. Ridiculous!

This site will be the "truth check" on them and anyone else who tries to get away with statements or accusations based on gossip, innuendo, half-truths or outright lies. There will be much more coming about a whole host of subjects. Some of the information will seem new, even though in reality it has been available for quite some time.

Stay tuned...

Dear Truth Teller, I have seen remarks in Debbie Lesko's AZ Republic blog that state that you have blocked comments/don't allow comments. I wanted to see if that was true, or if you just block anonymous comments. This is just a check of that - so far, I'm finding your blog quite enjoyable! Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Paula Cohen

Reading your blog is like stepping into the light.
Looking forward to reading more. It's about time for the truth to be told.
Unfortunately, there are some who really can't handle the truth!

Dear Truth Teller,

I am enjoying your blog very much. Also I can personally vouch for the ethical fabric of Kathy Knecht. Having worked side by side with her for the last year on several issues and, knowing her family as well, she is beyond reproach in her dealings, positions, character and behavior. There is not one thing unethical, underhanded or sneaky about Kathy Knecht.

The "sour grapes gang" on the other hand are out in full force apparently as I am seeing from your blog entries and links. I became familiar with one of these "sour grapes" individuals at the Close the Campus meetings at PUSD. HMMMMMM. I can only imagine there are not many of them in number just as they were not many in number during these meetings. What they lacked in number they made up for in swagger and weight throwing. I suspect there are merely a VERY few of these individuals with a very bad case of sour grapes currently morphing into montezuma's revenge.

Where were these mouths during the campaign and at election time? Why cannot they quote any past "misdeeds" or "etchical transgressions" on the part of those which they allege to be character deficient? Why is their only recourse fabricating non-issues and hurling allegations via the internet on a reply censored blog while completely ignoring and censoring the problems that caused the existing board incumbents to be handily and summarily voted out of their positions and replaced?

One can only wonder what the destructive motives of these individuals truly are other than the one which is so apparent it just screams "poor loser" at anyone paying attention.

Have a good day. I'll continue watching and thank you for your time and diligence to make this information gathering possible. Informed is forewarned I always say.

Dear Truth Squad,

With your new blog, could you please answer a simple question no one has yet to answer in any of the blogs? What has this district and its administration done that has harmed the students? What decisions has this administration made that has been bad decisions for the students?

This is a national award-winning district – districts from throughout United States have visited PUSD to learn what they can do to be like PUSD, we even had a visit from Egyptian educators. They must be doing something right? And yet for some reason no one will answer this simple question. They blog about who’s right and who’s wrong, etc., but no one has answered this question. Administration, teachers, support staff, everyone in this district work hard to make sure the students have what they need to succeed. Test scores are up, they now have the PTC, PUSD came in above most districts in the state for spending in the classroom, the superintendent’s salary is one of the lowest in the state, etc. And yet for some reason Murphy campaigned with ‘Fix the Board’. When did it break?

Fix the Board?

Can anyone enlighten us all, yes you truthtellers out there, as to the credentials of these board members? Are they college educated? Have they ever held jobs? Does any one know? I'd like to know if some high school graduate is telling someone with a doctorate in education and 25+ years of experience how to run a school district.
